Aha.
I am still here, people, lurking around the internet and yesterday I made another purchase of one Anuschka accessory. I know it’s crazy, but I felt that I just had to have this cute luggage tag.

I’ve been rather busy traveling these days, and my old heart-shaped luggage tag gets boring after a while. Quick update: Mr. BF is taking a vacation and he’s been traveling around with me (so sweet of him). I think it kinda made up for our cancelled India holiday. Next week we’re going for another getaway (without me working this time) and I can’t wait.
However, I shopped like crazy when we went to New York three days ago, and look at my most prized fabulous find:

It’s the Joie Bliss Ombre Cardigan. Haven’t I mentioned my love for ombre stuff? Well, that is exactly why I fell for this beautiful cardi. Look at the cute wooden buttons. Classic.
That’s not the only stuff I got, but let’s just spread them through the week, shall we?

Aaww… just read the Twitter Blog and apparently the service is down. But that’s ok because I am a Twitter addict who still have a teeny tiny thing called self-control
But I guess I’m not having much self-control on window shopping online today, as me and Mr. Boyfriend chose to spend the holiday at home. We’ve been searching the web for our next fabulous getaway in summer and we’re thinking Asia -again-. So last year it was Bali, this July we’re planning to go to… drum rolls please…
…Incredible India!
The place where my exquisite Anuschka bags came from. Seriously, I’ve been wanting to go to India since forever. Some say it’s so hot there, but hey, isn’t that what ’summer’ is supposed to be? And yeah Mr. Boyfriend can’t wait too because he’s into tattoos now and have said that he’s going to be looking for inspirations in India. I guess a 10-day trip would be more than enough for me to shop and him to… well, learn Hindi? Who knows?

Of all the places I’m looking forward to visit, I really really want to see the Taj Mahal. Seriously, people can say Paris is the city of love, but everybody knows Gustave Eiffel didn’t build that tower for his princess. Where’s the love in that? Read the full story about the Taj Mahal here.
Now, on to the usual problem of any of our trips together: Mr. Boyfriend will be so keen to pack our luggage in this…

Yes, my man and his taste for sleek minimalist surfaces. But not to worry. I’m not the robotic Victoria Beckham, fashion-wise, so I’m going to add a touch of India by toting something to honor the craftsmanship of the country…

Omg, I am so excited, and it’s barely even June. Help!

I went on a weekend getaway with Mr. Boyfriend last weekend.
However,
Before we left, he insisted on putting all our stuff together in his enormous bag *sigh*. What is it with men and their fascination of gym bags? Mr. B said it’s a ‘travel bag’, but I insisted that it was indeed just a bigger version of that thing he brings to the gym everyday.
“It’s a traveling bag, baby”
“I still think it looks like a gym bag. Whatever happens to traveling with style?”
“This IS stylish!”
“It’s not. It doesn’t match my new Capri pants.”
“See, honey, that’s why I’m the one carrying it. You just go ahead with your tattooed bags”
“Tattooed? They are handpainted luxurious leather bags!”
“Well they look like tattoo to me.”
I marched down my side of the walk-in closet and pulled out my work bag.

“Baby, this is a PAINTING. A work of art on a leather bag. Not a tattoo”
“Okay.”
My man knew I would defend my bags. As he continued packing our stuff into the now overstuffed large gym bag, I ran my fingers on the delicate leather. Tattoo or painting, I love it.
“Phew. Anything you want to add before I try to zip this bag up?” he asked me.
I remembered something, ran out of the room and quickly grabbed something from the top armoire in the study.
“Put this there.”
“Oh babe…”
“So they’ll know this gym bag belongs to the both of us.”
“It’s a traveling bag”
“Whatever.”
And he attached this on the zipper.

Oh and um… the weekend was excellent!

My friend once said to me:
“Go easy on the black.”
I can’t help it. It’s the safest bet to hide that teeny tiny bulge around the waist after downing a plateful of cheesecake. It’s the color you wear when you have nothing to wear to the office. It’s what you have to wear to flaunt that new blonde streaks fresh out of the salon. It’s the color you wear to be taken seriously, sometimes.
Mr. Boyfriend once said that I have one too many little black dresses. “You spend too much money on the same dresses, baby,” he would say. And I would just give him my widest smile and plant a huge kiss on his lips to shut him up.
What do men know about LBDs and why women love black anyway? It’s a woman thing. Besides, we don’t wear black only to formal occasions. I’m going out of town for business and I’m going to wear black for three days straight because hey, who knows whether I’m going to be invited to cocktail hours after the grueling days of surveying sites for a national conference?
To me, black doesn’t only define my eyes it also defines the colorful accessories I own. Just see this hot black hoodie:

Right. So that’s what I’m going to wear tomorrow to the airport. Too plain? Not to worry, I might be tired of scarves and necklaces… but I’m never tired of bags. And behold the Anuschka travel tote I’ll be toting:

Isn’t it divine? This is what I love about the bag: it has every color you want to liven up the black top (or any plain tops, for that matter). And it’s clearly has a lot of suggestions on what other accessories that could enrich MY style!
Um, this got me thinking: maybe I should slip in my gold bangles in there, just in case that cocktail thing really happens. Afterall, my Anuschka travel tote has room for everything. Even for my three cell phones. I mean adding one bangle would not hurt. Okay, maybe two. Hey, what about that turquoise-gold earrings? That should match the bag. And of course, the black top!
Oh heck, now I remember that I really should start packing.
Until then, bloggies!
