Back Me Up!

July 15th, 2008 -- Posted in Covet, Favorite Handbags, I Love Anuschka | No Comments »

I’m no big fan of carrying my belongings at the back.? But this time, I have to say that I wish I possess this backpack!

I mean, what’s not to like?

My impression of the usual backpack is either bulky, parachute-induced and… way too casual.? But this Anuschka Backpack is like something out of Vogue.? ? Its triangular shape and somewhat invisible zip, features its fine hand-painted flowers to the max!? And get this:? Loving the straps at the back, as it can be zippered down to a single handle instead of two whenever you wanna carry it like the usual bag.

Why am I suddenly into this particular backpack?

Because I saw somebody wearing it along Rodeo Drive yesterday… and it was freaking gorgeous!? I gotta get this fast.? Seriously.

So if there’s anybody out there who would wanna get me this gorgeous backpack…

…please back me up! LOL!

Which Bag Should I Buy?

June 16th, 2008 -- Posted in Anuschka Gifts, Covet, I Love Anuschka, My Days | 2 Comments »

There’s always something even behind the funnest activity in the world. And that something, for me, is having to choose from equally fine products… when I’m shopping. Well no, I’m not shopping right now, but remember my client Magda? Apparently the Anne Geddes imitation photo shoot went very well thanks to the costumes I provided *ahem* and last Saturday, she offered to pay me with an Anuschka handbag. I was overjoyed, but not for long as I should make up my mind and email her with the bag of my choice Wednesday at the latest.

I’ve spent my weekend in front of my computer screen, narrowing down my choices and have gotten the final result. It’s the Anuschka Multi Compartment Satchel. Very functional with three top zip entries for easy access to my stuff.

(un)fortunately, they came in 3 beautiful colors and patterns…

…which makes it hard for me to choose because they are all so pretty!

Let me show them to you, so you’ll know what I’m talking about here.

This is the Anuschka Classic Abstract Multi Compartment Satchel.

This ultra feminine one is the Anuschka Premium Floral Safari Multi Compartment Satchel.

And this, bearing my favorite turquoise touches is the Anuschka Multi Compartment Satchel in Premium Orchid Chocolate.

Aaaarrrggghhh!!!

I’m seriously in dilemma here. Which one to choose? Look, okay, if you were me… which one would be your choice?

Please help!

Summer Simmer

June 10th, 2008 -- Posted in Covet, Fashion, Fun, Shopping | 1 Comment »

Me and Mr. BF agreed that it’s time to shop for bikinis. Not that he wears them *duh*. He just likes looking at them -like most men do. But this year, I fell in love with a one-piece. It’s so uncharacteristically me to like a one-piece swimsuit, but this one is cute as hell… and you should be deciding: is it a swimsuit, or an ultra-mini dress?

The Siren One Piece Shirred Crossback Sheath Swimsuit $72.00
I know, I know it’s pretty and kinda brought me back to the 50’s. Maybe that’s what I’ll wear this summer. Retro beachwear! There’s the nod of approval from across the desk. That’s right, Mr. BF, I’m gonna be your calendar girl for the summer! And I found another thing that tickled my fancy, to go with this swimsuit.

Ah, I can just see myself in this, sipping sangria by the beach. :D

And to complete the look, I’ll get just this.

Naturalizer’s Sherene Espadrille Slingback in Chrome $49.95

Oh well, I guess I’m ready for summer.

Are you? :D

Paper Anuschka :)

June 2nd, 2008 -- Posted in Covet, I Love Anuschka | No Comments »

Allright, this is the highlight of my day.

See, I was browsing around in the middle of work. You know, doing that stuff you do when the boss isn’t looking. Yeah, online window-shopping. Except that my boss is, well, me. So technically I should be mad at myself, but how can I be when I found something that made me smile and so touched.

As you all probably know by now that I am an Anuschka bag-addict. And I seriously welled up in joy when I saw a beautiful work of art, created by a paper artist, inspired by the thing I’m very passionate about. Check this out.

Anuschka Paper Bag

Isn’t it pretty? It’s an Anuschka bag, made of paper and wire-meshing with a collage of different papers on top such as Russian chocolate paper. The creator, Berlin-based Heike Roesner, has been tinkering with paper arts for more than 10 years. Apart from bags, she also creates tons of other cool stuff from paper. I know it’s not exactly this…

Yep. The bag I’m drooling over now. Divine, isn’t it?

Anyway, back to Heike Roesner, she claims that her paper bags are usable. And I quote:

The interesting thing is, that each of my bags is a sculpture. You can go out and use it for shopping but at the same time it is a work of art. So you can decide to put it into a show-case or go outside with it. -from Handbagdesigner101.

Sounds a lot like my Anuschkas. You know, maybe Ms. Roesner didn’t take the name “Anuschka” from the Anuschka I collect, but still… after seeing her work and her passion about it, she reminds me a lot of… me!

So I want to learn to make paper bags. It’s another way of recycling and, I get something cute out of it. Because you know, I was thinking maybe it’s cute to have a miniature of each of my collection, to display on my desk. Nice, right? You can check out Ms. Roesner’s other work here. She’s so fabulous!

Well, time to make myself a sandwich. All the excitement made me hungry.

Cheers, bloggies! :D
